A new Fortnite event is starting up this week, the Fortnite Birthday 2024 event. This comes every year, as we celebrate another full calendar year of Fortnite Battle Royale’s release. This isn’t a full-on event like the Spring one or Fortnitemares. However, there are some special quests and exclusive items in-game.
What can we expect from the Fortnite Birthday 2024 event? If you’ve been playing for a few Fortnite Chapters, you’ll have a good idea. Epic has been pretty consistent with their birthday content. However, as a mini-event, it’s always nice to see some of these fun items brought back out.

What’s Changed for the Event?
The anniversary event comes once per year, with a few familiar items brought out of the vault to celebrate it. These are the big changes you’ll find for Fortnite’s birthday this year:
Birthday Cake – At POIs, you can find a large birthday cake! These slices can be carried too, and they’re actually quite good meds.
Birthday Presents – Just like Christmas presents, these are throwable items filled with loot.
Battle Bus – a themed ride into the island.
Flare Gun Returns – The Flare Gun is back, but in its Firework form. Effectively the same item but a little animation plays in the sky after you use it.
Birthday Medallion – A new Medallion in Birthday presents, this one gives you balloons when you jump.

Fortnite Birthday Day 2024 Quests
The Fortnite Birthday 2024 event is bringing a few quests into the game. Whether you’re trying to grind XP or just want to be a real completitionist about the season, these are the quests you would need to complete:
Wish the Bus Driver a Happy Birthday
Throw Birthday Presents or Open Chests
Travel Distance Airborne with Balloons from Birthday Medallion
Eat Slices of Birthday Cake
Release or Pop Balloons
Reveal Players by Setting Off Fireworks with the Flare Gun
