FaceIt League S3

The Overwatch FACEIT League S3 will be beginning on Monday, October 7th. This is a tournament series for Overwatch run on a grassroots level by the organizer. However, it still offers some impressive stakes. There’s a total prize pool of $50,0000 for the League and more than 300 teams are already signed up to take part in the tournament.

The goal of the FACEIT League is to ease teams into a more official competitive format. Here they can get experience in a real competitive environment. With consistent games, they’ll need to build up experience playing their best week after week. These events will be run for EMEA, North America, Oceania, and South America. The FACEIT League Season 3 is a great opportunity for rising players. Even without a formal team, a look-for-team section allows hopeful players to get involved.

This is another Open style of tournament but one that tries to encourage competition for lower-ranking teams, those who could go on to do big things in the OWCS in the future. The event series will return for this third season soon. The regular season will be running through to November 24th. After that, we’ll get Playoffs to narrow these teams down to the very best who get a share of the huge prize pool.
