With the FFXIV 7.1 not releasing until November, Square Enix is keeping Final Fantasy XIV players entertained with a new Moogle Treasure Trove hunt until the release of the patch. Moogle Treasure Trove Hunt for Goetia will kick off next week (Oct.15) giving players an incentive to grind those duties and collect those tomestones.
Kicking off on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8:00am GMT (1:00am PT), and continuing until the release of Patch 7.1 this edition of Moogle Treasure Trove will again utilize the new Mogpendium which was first added earlier this year ahead of the release of Dawntrail. This means there will be Standard objectives, Weekly objectives, Minimog Challenges, and a more difficult Ultimog Challenge.
On top of Standard Objectives, Weekly Objectives will be a single duty, taken from the standard objectives and given bonus tomes.
But there’s also the incentive to log in weekly to take on the Minimog Challenges. Rather than a standard instanced duty, these will take the form of smaller in-game challenges, from completing FATEs, Ocean Fishing, gambling at the Golden Saucer (although unfortunately there’s no esports betting there), taking part in Hunts, Triple Triad Tournament’s and even Treasure Hunting.
Finally, there’s the Ultimog Challenges. Last time this was an Ocean Fishing task that pushed players to complete that side challenge. It’s unknown what this edition’s Ultimog Challenge would be.
This edition’s rewards are also pretty unique. There’s a new Donut Earring, and a bunch of chances to get mounts and minions. These include the Innocent Gwiber Trumpet, usually only available for completing The Crown of the Immaculate (Extreme) trial. The Hades Barding, a crafted item which normally requires a drop from The Minstrel’s Ballad: Hades’s Elegy is also a great item to aim for.
With no set date for the release of patch 7.1, although our FFXIV schedule has some estimates, this is the perfect thing to keep you entertained during the content drought in FFXIV.
