Fortnite’s current season isn’t slowing down with the collabs, and according to leakers we’re about to see the latest addition to the Fortnite Icon Series. Another icon of sports joining the ranks, with a Fortnite Messi skin coming soon.
Some leakers have already begun to release information about the next real-world figure to make it into Fortnite. So far, we’ve seen musicians, streamers, and more added, but only a handful of sports stars have been iconic enough to make the cut. We’ll be gaining one more of these soon with the release of a Fortnite Messi skin. The footballer is one of the best-known around the world, and will definitely make for an interesting skin. What can we expect with this upcoming Fortnite collab and when will it release?

Fortnite’s icon series is home to real world figures, while it isn’t the focus there’s already a few sports stars in there. Neymar Jr was initially added, alongside a number of streamers. Then we got some more football inclusions like Harry Kane. Along with more sports names like LeBron, Chloe Kim, and Lewis Hamilton. However, the next one up has just begun to appear in Fortnite leaks. It seems our next skin up will be Messi.
According to leakers, a number of items and a Fortnite Messi skin will be coming to the game as early as tomorrow. There’s going to be two different outfits for players, two pickaxes, and even two emotes. All of this will be sold in a bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks. A little higher than bundles sometimes are, but since each skin is 1,800 or 1,500 V-Bucks it’s still a saving overall.
While he’s been mentioned here and there, the full Messi set getting released so soon is a bit of a surprise! It’s been a while since we had an icon from this world though, so it’s good to see more footballers being included.
Messi is one of the world’s most recognizable footballers. Playing for Inter Miami at the moment as well as his national team. His achievements in the game are legendary, holding the title for most decorated player in professional football as a whole. It’ll be great to see how the Fortnite Messi skin comes out.
When Will it be Released?
That’s what we’re expecting with the skin, but when will we actually see it? At the moment, leakers think it could arrive at any time! Basically, starting tomorrow it could show up. However, the Fortnite item shop is often a bit unpredictable. We’ll likely see it arrive at some point soon though.
