Fortnite tournaments come in all sizes throughout the season, but in Chapter 6 the Fortnite Solo Cash Cup is a rarer kind of event. We used to see loads of these independent smaller tournaments, but Epic’s cut down lately. Meaning for more upcoming competitive players, these regular
Fortnite Solo Cash Cups are some of the most important events.
The Fortnite Solo Cash Cup is an event built specifically for playing on your own. No teammates to blame if things go wrong! However, as Epic’s been cutting down on smaller events due to anti-cheat strategies, it’s going to be a bit busier than in past seasons.
The event’s rules are a little different this time too. It’s no longer a Victory Cup like in previous seasons, now rewards all kinds of wins, not just Victory Royales. These are the perfect events for upcoming players looking to jump into Fortnite esports. How does it work?
Fortnite Solo Cash Cup Guide
The Fortnite Solo Cash Cup is a returning tournament format for Chapter 6 events. It’s a tournament played each week, with regular chances to compete for cash. Unlike the FNCS, this event is standalone. With every week you’ll be able to take part in a fresh event.
The event is played in two different sessions. There’s a Round 1 where players have three hours to play 10 games, hoping to rise up a leaderboard or their region. At the end of the tournament, we’ll see the top-ranking Fortnite players move to Round 2. Where they’ll again compete in one session of 10 games over 3 hours. Only now, in lobbies with just the other winning Fortnite players.
Scoring
The most important thing for playing is knowing what’s going to get you points on the leaderboard. Obviously, winning Fortnite games counts for a lot. However, kills and generally high placement does too. Someone consistently landing top 10 with kills will do better than an inconsistent player who gets a single good game with a win in.
