The International 2025, TI14 Will Be Hosted In Hamburg, Germany

From Sep. 11 until Sep. 14, The International 2025 will take over Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, pitting 16 of the best Dota 2 teams from around the globe against each other. The 14th edition of The International, sees Dota return to Germany, the place where first International took place during GamsCom Cologne, in 2011.

Since then, TI has traveled around the globe, with eight editions taking place in Seattle, and one a piece in Vancouver, Shanghai, Bucharest, Singapore, and Copenhagen.

Exact details on the format are not currently available, but the news post suggest that this will once again be a case of open qualifiers, regional qualifiers, and direct invitations leading to a 16 team final. However, given that this most recent edition, TI2024, had a higher concentration of Western European teams than any other, perhaps slight changes to the format may be used.

Details on tickets and scheduling are currently also unavailable, but Valve has bid that eager fans tune into the multitude of events and tournaments set for the start of the year. Pricing is also unknown – last year Valve caused controversy with its $700 tickets for the event. We expect info on tickets in late May or June.

With Dota 2 celebrating one of the best in-game events its ever had in Crownfall, while simultaneously mourning the decrease in scale of The International, and its once prodigious prize pool, TI14 is set to be another chance to Valve to prove it’s still the king of Dota 2 events.
