At the start of 2024, Patch 10.00 introduced the new agent Tejo. The Colombian agent is the 7th initiator in the game. In the eyes of many fans, this agent is one of the most overpowered agents in the game. Since his launch, fans have asked VALORANT to nerf some of his abilities in the game.

VALORANT Patch 10.02 is a comparatively minor update within VALORANT. After every 2 weeks, a new update is live in the game. This update consists of no nerfs or buffs to any of the 25 agents in the game. Instead, various bugs have been fixed in the game. Below are some of the bugs that have been worked on within this VALORANT Patch:

General Bugs

  • An issue in which certain types of damage could leave players with Regen Shields at 1 HP when the damage should have been lethal has been fixed.
  • This also fixed issues where Clove could tank lethal damage, specifically when Regen Shield and Pick Me Up were active simultaneously.

Vyse

  • An issue where Arc Rose and Razorvine were visible when placed on specific water surfaces has been fixed.

Tejo

  • Riot has addressed the issue where players could rarely survive running straight through the entire duration of Armageddon.

Killjoy

  • An issue where Killjoy’s recall minimap indicator could get stuck in an invisible state has been fixed.
  • Alarmbot logic has been updated to be more intelligent.
  • In niche circumstances, the Alarmbot will now run towards players on ledges and explode on them if the size of the explosion hits them rather than trying to run extremely long paths around the map.

Opinions on the patch

This patch was mainly focused on bugs due to the ongoing VCT Leagues. Any change to agents would affect the meta within the esports leagues. It must be stated that one agent many fans are waiting to get nerfed is Tejo. This is due to his insane damage output during post-plant. It could be speculated that the next time we see major agent buffs and nerfs, it will be during Patch 10.04.
