The new Fortnite season has tons of fun skins, but Outlaw Midas is the next big release. Since we first got teasers for the new season, we knew a new version of Midas was coming soon. Now the full pass has been revealed, we know it’s Outlaw Midas. A specific version of Midas which is more in -keeping with the new crime theme of the season. But Outlaw Midas is the bonus skin, and we’ve had to wait a little bit before actually getting him!
The Outlaw Midas skin has been featured in all the season’s build-up, and with the gold effect even present in a big way for the live event and Fortnite lore in the season. However, we’ve had to wait until the bonus skin to see how we’ll unlock the skin. This is what we know about Outlaw Midas so far, when you can unlock him, and how it’ll work:

Outlaw Midas Release Date
The big question with the Outlaw Midas bonus skin is when can we unlock him! According to Fortnite leakers, he’ll unlock with the next Fortnite update. That’s currently scheduled for March 11th. This would make it an earlier Bonus skin. However, he is central to the game’s theme.
We’ve also seen some changes with how the Bonus Skin unlocks in recent seasons. Which means it can take longer to unlock. Players could need the extra time to unlock it. With the update bringing in Outlaw Midas, we’ll also get to see the other cosmetics. Like the second style that’s coming for the skin!
How to Unlock the Bonus Skin
That’s when Midas unlocks, but how can you unlock him? As a bonus skin, you’ll need the premium version of the Battle Pass to do it. Normally, players have to complete quests to get the Bonus Skin. However, starting with the last season it changed to instead being based on gaining levels in the Battle Pass and game.
The new form of Bonus Skin unlock method does make it simpler to unlock, but can mean it takes more time. Since players have to grind levels to get things completed instead of just speed running quests. We could be switching back to the old method though, we’ll have to wait and see what the exact unlock method is with the next Fortnite update.
