Who are the best and worst Brawlhalla characters? It’s a bit of a subjective topic, especially considering the insane number of characters Brawlhalla has. We can still sort them into a Brawlhalla tier list though, to see just about where everyone stands. Even with new fighters being added to the game all the time!
When it comes to fighting games like Brawlhalla, there will always be some personal opinion in who the top fighters are. However, outside of that, there are some stand outs in terms of how things are balanced. Given the sheer number of characters… there’s a ton of stand outs. Enough to fit everyone’s preferences. We can highlight a few characters which rise above the pack, and quite a few who are clearly below.
Brawlhalla Tier List
S Tier

The S-Tier is where we have all the top characters. The best Brawlhalla Legends are all here. Since we have such a staggering number of Legends (even excluding the crossover skins), it’s still pretty big. These are our top picks for the best Brawlhalla characters in the tier list:

A Tier – Brawlhalla Tier List

B Tier

Source: Blue Mammoth Games
B is where we really start to get to more limited characters. If you really excel with one of these there’s no harm in sticking with them. Especially if they gel with you or you got really good learning how to play them. However, they do have less potential than the other characters in the Brawlhalla tier list. Not to say you won’t occasionally get completely dunked on by someone playing these.
It’s one of the bigger tiers. Makes sense that more characters would gravitate over to the middle of the pack. These are the B tier picks:
- Azoth
- Orion
- Xull
- Gnash
- Thatch
- Ada
- Ember
- Diana
- Val
- Ragnir
- Caspian
- Sidra
- Kaya

- The Undertaker
- Becky Lynch
- Asuka
- Lara Croft
- M Bison
- Heatblast
- Negan
- Sakura
C Tier

Finally, we have the C Tier. Brawlhalla doesn’t have that many really genuinely bad or unplayable Legends. These all have significantly limited kit compared to those above though. They’re more picks for those who want to elevate a character, rather than take the easy ride! These are the picks here:
- Cassidy
- Queen Nai
- Hattori
- Lucien
- Brynn
- Asuri
- Ulgrim
- Jhala
- Mirage
- Nix
- Mordex
- Yumiko
- Isaiah
- Jiro
- Lin Fei
- Dusk
- Fait
- Volkov
- Black Knight
- Specter Knight
- Globox

- Four Arms
- Tai Lung
- Po
- Hellboy
- Princess Bubblehum
- Macho Man
That’s where everyone sits on a Brawlhalla tier list! This is subjective though, so opinions can differ. If you’re trying to get better at fighting games like Brawlhalla though, it all comes down to how you play. It’s possible to do great things with lower ranked fighters.
Although, picking the best fighters is just the start. You’ll need to keep on top of how things change around. The meta can really be different from one season to the next in this game.
How Does the Brawlhalla Meta Change?
The Brawlhalla tier list does change, and it can pretty often. Brawlhalla is a free-to-play live service, so to keep players interested new content is added all the time. If you want to stay on top of the meta, you need to keep an eye on new characters. of course, this is the biggest change really. They’ll fit in differently, and as a match-up it could make a big difference to the existing characters too.
But there’s also the general Brawlhalla patch notes. They can change how characters are balanced, especially if there’s major alterations to a weapon. Recently we’ve even seen new weapons making their way to the game, which changes the potential for every weapon since there’s more counters in the game possible.
The Brawlhalla tier list is pretty big though, so there will always be plenty of characters in the top tier. The best players are able to take lower powered characters the whole way too.
