Fortnite Physics Update Finally Given Release Date

Some video games have in-game physics and destructible environments. They give you the chance to use and make changes to your surroundings to better accomplish your goal. Soon, Fortnite will be the same. The physics update was leaked a long time ago, and it’s not far off now. It was previously delayed, too.

The latest leak suggests that it will be put into effect between July and September, so there are really only a few months of the old Fortnite left. ShiinaBR, a prominent and reliable leaker, indicated that this was the case.

The synopsis for the update reads, “Creators can now publish their UEFN Physics-based games into Fortnite. With General Physics, players can push, topple, hit, and move objects – unlocking emergent, physics-driven gameplay.” The video teaser for it shows off players knocking things down, running on a plank that changes level based on the weight applied, and more things that rely on physics and are currently not in the game.

This update will be applied to the main Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes in all likelihood. It won’t affect OG, as even the current in-game mechanics that weren’t around during the original time (barring a few exceptions) have been left out. It also won’t matter for Rocket Royale or Festival Mode. LEGO Fortnite is its own thing as well.

We don’t know exactly when the update is coming, but it is likely to happen between chapters. At the very least, it’ll happen between seasons, but chapters make the most sense. With that in mind, whenever Chapter 6 ends and gives way to Chapter 7, which could be after a few months, remains the most likely time for such a major patch.
