Square Enix, developer and publisher behind Final Fantasy XIV, has unveiled a new art book showcasing the creation and development of their latest FFXIV expansion, Dawntrail.
The latest in a series of art books (Square Enix has released one for each of the FFXIV expansions), this latest edition covers the lands of Tural and beyond and tracks the lore, artistic development, and creation of Dawntrail .

Square Enix Releases New Art Book For FFXIV: Dawntrail Expansion
FFXIV is one of the most beloved and best MMORPGs of all time . However, Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion, Dawntrail, has had a mixed reception for a number of reasons. With some fans adoring the story, and others turned off by a lakc of focus on the player’s own character – few will argue that this expansion hasn’t had some beautiful locations, designs and art behind it.
That’s where The Art of Succession Relics of Heritage art book comes in. We’ve seen previous editions of the FFXIV art books, and for fans of the games, they’re really something special. Singular collectors pieces that contain tidbits of lore, information about the game, and more.
