Boat Dota – New Moba Sirocco Has Set Sail
After 15 years of development, Sirocco is finally here. It’s a unique MOBA modeled after a popular Warcraft 3 mod called Battleships (sometimes also known as War Ships). This makes it similar to Dota 2 in many ways because that was also based on a custom game from Warcraft III called Defense of the Ancients.
Sirocco is a unique MOBA where players can swap their abilities and roles in the middle of the match. They can also load auto-firing weapons and craft unique strategies. Unlike traditional games in this genre, Sirocco doesn’t have fixed roles and hard counters. Instead, the idea is to “learn as you go” and discover new strategies. The auto-firing basic attacks are also a big attraction, as it makes the game more focused on abilities.
Sirocco has 21 ships and 24 different weapons, and you can also pick several captains. Each captain will have an effect on your power-ups.

Where and How Can You Play Sirocco?
Following May 2, Sirocco is free on Steam, and you can download it now. The game is growing in popularity fast, so you can expect quick queue times and epic action. With that said, the title is still in early access, so don’t be surprised if there are a few minor bugs here and there.
It will be interesting to see if Sirocco will have the same success as some of the more established games in this space. It will be tough to “steal” any players from titles like Dota 2 and League of Legends , but we would not be surprised if this title attracts many new players.
