If you had told a VALORANT Esports fan in 2023 that RRQ would be in the lower bracket of VCT Pacific Stage One 2025, they would believe you. However, if you had told that same fan that they would qualify for a VALORANT Masters event, they wouldn’t believe you.
This year, RRQ has been the dark horse during the tournament. Shocking everyone, they finished in first in their group. This resulted in them receiving a bye from the first round of playoffs. All they needed to do was to win one match and qualify for VALORANT Masters Toronto. That they did by defeating DRX 2-1.
In the upper bracket finals, Gen G similarly crushed them to our prediction. They lost the series 2-0 and got knocked down to the lower bracket finals.
PRX, on the other hand, has been on a roll in the lower bracket, defeating every single team that stood in front of them. After their victory against DRX, they defeated three of the strongest teams in the tournament: DRX, T1, and BOOM Esports.
In the match against DRX, they had quite a stronghold against DRX. They made sure that DRX could never initiate a comeback during the match. During this game, f0rsakeN proved why he was known as one of the best flex players in the world.
Series Breakdown
This will be the first Best of 5 series in which PRX will face off against RRQ. In the previous three matches between these two teams, RRQ hasn’t been able to defeat PRX even once. This match will also see Monyet face off against his ex-teammates. It will be interesting to see if that will fuel him to provide one of his best performances of the year.
The favorites of this match are PRX. A reason for this is their experience in playing best-of-5 series. They have played these matches on the highest stages of VALORANT Esports. The memorable series is the grand finals of VALORANT Champions 2023. In this match, we feel PRX will continue their winning streak and secure the win with a scoreline of 3-1.
