Recap on Tundra Esports vs Team Falcons at BLAST Slam III

Looking back at the earlier BLAST Slam III group stage, both teams had a phenomenal run, placing top seed in their respective group. This advances them directly to the semi-finals of BLAST Slam III’s Playoffs, where Tundra and Falcons defeated Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit respectively.

Yet, when it boils down to the decisive grand finals, the power gap became tremendously wider than fans anticipated. Kicking off the first match of the grand finals, we saw how impactful Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov can be as Tundra’s mid-player when given the opportunity to shine. His Beastmaster overwhelmed the enemy mid, Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak’s Doom, in the lane to the extent of Doom having worse item progressions than a regular offlane role. The lack of initiation also became blatant when Malr1ne did not rush Blink Dagger and had trouble finding the perfect opportunity to use his ultimate.

In Game Two, the situation was much with back-and-forth fights throughout the game. closer, Remco ” Crystallis ” Arets and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov’s role as the team’s cores truly shine as they scaled well into the late game. Despite being the newer players in Tundra’s line-up, they certainly are responsible for clutching the second game.

A turnaround attempt by Team Falcons

Despite the two initial losses, Falcons came back stronger in Game Three with a stomp. Essentially, they won every lane and did not let Tundra have any opportunity or space to recuperate. From the global presence which Nature’s Prophet offered to the vision game that their invisible support Riki, Tundra ultimately called it quits after realizing they can’t come back from such an overwhelming deficit.

Just when there seems to be a glimmer of hope for Falcons, their opponent decided to bring out the best of bzm’s signature Invoker. It’s been a while since we last saw bzm play this hero, but it’s definitely a hero that highlighted his prowess as a mid player. As when given that opportunity, we see bzm play some of the best Invoker games we have seen in BLAST Slam III . With other strong team fight capabilities by his teammates in Tundra, plus Crystallis’ Phantom Assassin, they dominated every fight.

Tundra Esports’ performance in 2025

With this promising victory at BLAST Slam III, Crystallis proved that he’s one of the best Dota 2 carry players, that even his past captains approved of. In fact, we have to give Crystallis credits for being consistent in every match, earning him a deserved spot among the Tundra players.

Another new addition to Tundra’s superstar roster is bzm , who has been responsible for setting up critical objectives for Tundra. Compare this to his time in OG as a sacrificial mid role, Tundra truly gave bzm the spotlight he deserves as a mid-player.

In hindsight, Tundra is in the good hands of Neta “33” Shapira and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov, the two players that essentially built this roster. Their long history, dates even way before they won the International 2022 (TI11) together, has become the backstory of how they successfully turned Tundra into a powerhouse in every Dota 2 tournament in 2025 .
