The roster of BTK, the North American champions of MLBB, has been picked by S8UL Esports. The team, which won the NA Challenger Tournament earlier this month, had already qualified for the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 in the Esports World Cup (EWC).

With the NACT ending on May 12, and the game announcement deadline for the EWC Club Championship being just three days later (May 15), it seems S8UL made a quick move to acquire the roster.

S8UL’s new MLBB esports roster consists of the following players:

  • Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun
  • Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl
  • Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun
  • Ziameth-Jei “ZIA” Caluya
  • Vo “Shark” Trung
  • Carlos “Bestplayer1” Ortega Vega

The team is one of the most experienced rosters within MLBB. All players have competed in the M World Championships at least three times.

Furthermore, MobaZane, ZIA, FwydChickn, and SHARK were part of the 2021 BTK roster that went on to secure third place at the M3 World Championship. It remains the most impressive finish by a North American team in an international Mobile Legends esports tournament to date.

Therefore, the new S8UL squad, while belonging to a region considered “weak” in MLBB esports, could pull off a surprise in Saudi Arabia. The support of the India-based S8UL fanbase could also further motivate the squad.

“We’ve been on a long journey together, from grassroots tournaments to the world stage, and every chapter has shaped who we are as a team,” said team captain MobaZane. “We’re not here just to play — we’re here to evolve, to represent, and to create a legacy that goes beyond titles and trophies.”

For EWC Club Partner S8UL, signing the team comes as a no-brainer. They are guaranteed an appearance at the EWC in MLBB, considered one of the most popular mobile esports titles out there. Additionally, the individual players are also really popular in the MLBB community.

The MLBB MSC 2025 is set to take place from July 23 to Aug. 2, with a $3 million prize pool on the line. Before that, a Wildcard stage will take place on July 10, however. A total of 15 teams will compete in MSC 2025. Furthermore, 8 teams will battle it out in the Wildcard stage.
