The MongolZ introduces their latest Dota 2 line-up ahead of the International 2025 Southeast Asia Qualifiers. This time, however, MongolZ boasts a complete Mongolian roster, tying their roots as a Mongolian-first Esports org.

Announced on Facebook on Sunday (May 25), the new roster features some big names for the region, as well as some relatively unknown players.

MongolZ’s latest Dota 2 roster features a five-man Mongolian team, including:

  1. Oidov “FortuneSoul” Yalguunsaran (Carry)
  2. Battsengel “Osocle~” Usukh-Ireedui (Mid)
  3. Ankhtuya “Panda” Dashjamts (Offlane)
  4. Narankhand “Ace12” Batbayasgalan (Soft Support)
  5. Sugar “winter*” Purevkhuu (Hard Support)

There are two notable Dota 2 players leading the MongolZ squad, that is Ace12 and FortuneSoul with 13,000 and 10,000 MMR respectively. The duo have played in the SEA region for the most part of their career, such as Ace12’s time in Lilgun, where he was once a staple in the Dota Pro Circuit. Meanwhile, many of FortuneSoul’s fans might know him from his days in Neon Esports.

Empowering Mongolian players in Dota 2 Esports

Perhaps what makes this particular Dota 2 roster more meaningful to the MongolZ is that this is a Mongolian-only team. When the MongolZ first debut in Dota 2 Esports in November last year, the squad only had one Mongolian player. Many fans joked about the MongolZ’s single-Mongolian player in their team despite their name.

The Mongolian Dota 2 scene doesn’t have the largest playerbase to begin with. Hence, gathering five enthusiastic Mongolian Dota 2 players was definitely a feat on its own.

Of course, it’s the most crucial time of the year for all Dota 2 teams at the moment because TI14 regional qualifiers are about to begin. The MongolZ’s refreshed roster is set to compete at TI14 SEA Regional Qualifiers against formidable opponents, such as Talon Esports, BOOM Esports and Execration.

This is MongolZ’s stage to prove their strengths, not only as players, but as the country’s sole representatives. Qualifying for TI14 would mark the MongolZ as the first Mongolian Dota 2 team to play in the Internationals Championship.
