FaZe Clan has announced the departure of their 31-year-old veteran Norwegian rifler, rain, who has been moved to the bench.
After more than a decade with the team, Håvard “rain” Nygaard has officially been placed on the inactive roster. This move finalizes the return of Canadian star Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, who rejoined FaZe just days ago in a trade involving EliGe.
During his time with FaZe, rain secured 19 major trophies, including the 2022 Antwerp Major and the Intel Grand Slam. He was named MVP of four tournaments (most notably Antwerp) and appeared three times in the HLTV Top 20, with his latest placement being 13th in 2022.
After an unforgettable 10 years, it’s time to say goodbye to FaZe Clan.
Even though FaZe has decided to move in a different direction, I’m extremely proud of what we have accomplished together over the past decade.
I want to thank my former and current teammates for the countless memories, the incredible matches, and the trophies we lifted. It has been an honor to play alongside some of the most talented players in this game.
I’m deeply grateful to the organization for giving me the opportunity to represent FaZe, and to everyone who believed in me. And to all the fans who have supported me and cheered the loudest every time — thank you from the bottom of my heart.rain
FaZe will return to action on October 4th at ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 2, with hopes that Twistzz’s return will end the team’s trophy drought that has lasted since IEM Chengdu 2024, nearly 18 months ago.
With these roster changes, FaZe’s lineup is now:
- karrigan
- frozen
- broky
- jcobbb
- Twistzz
- NEO – Coach
- Olofmeister – Substitute
- rain – Substitute
