Most days we get a few new features in the Item Shop for Fortnite. Fresh emotes, or even a new collab. However, sprinkled in are more original Epic skins. Outfits that could go on to be entirely new characters in Fortnite. The Boss Obsidian Fortnite skin is one of these.
One new skin has been added to the Fortnite Item Shop in recent days, the Bosa Obsidian Fortnite skin! This is a new skin with a bit of a metal aesthetic. It’s captured players’ interests though. What is the boss Obsidian Fortnite skin and what’s going on with its mistranslations across the world?
Boss Obsidian Fortnite Skin
The Boss Obsidian Skin is an exciting new outfit added to the item shop. It’s a new skin that has a brand-new model, so truly unique right now in the Fortnite world. As an Epic original skin, it’s a bit lower on the V-Buck price scale too.
The Boss Obsidian skin is available as a skin on its own for 800 V-Bucks, or with some extra cosmetics at 1,400 V-bucks. Not the cheapest skin, but it’s still lower than collab skins like the Deadpool and Wolverine looks dominating the item shop right now.
One thing that’s gotten players a bit muddled upon release is Boss Obsidian Fortnite skin’s gender. The Model is a male one and seems to be referred to as a male character. However, some international versions of Fortnite are using feminine pronouns. We’re not sure yet if this is intentional or just a simple translation error. These kinds of errors are fairly common though, so that’s the most likely explanation.
Boss Obsidian is a brand-new model in-game, but it has some ties to older looks. It seems to be a remake of the Gildhart skin. That was a Fortnite Crew Pack skin. This version if more Knight like though.
You can get the skin by heading through the Item Shop. You don’t need to go through any quests like the current collabs. It’s only available through purchase. While there’s some fun collabs going on at the moment, it’s always good to see more original skins coming to the item shop.
