The latest Fortnite update has introduced a few new features for the last week of the season. There’s the Fall Guys content dripping its way in, but in terms of the loot pool one big change is the most impactful. The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Minigun.
This weapon has been teased for quite a while now. It actually appeared in the very first reveal trailer for our current season of Fortnite. Since then, we’ve been awaiting its return to the game proper. Update after update came and nothing happened. Players had begun to wonder if the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 minigun had been scrapped. However, with this latest update, it is now in the game. How can you find it?
How to Find the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Minigun
The new gun in the Fortnite loot pool has been enabled with the latest update. Where can you find it? It’s a pretty standard item in the loot pool. You can find it in pretty much all of the normal places.
You can spot the minigun in chests, rare chests, pretty much anywhere that guns are found. It appears to be dropping pretty consistently from supply drops too. If you stumble on. A Shadow briefing terminal could be a good way to get your hands on one.

The Mini Gun isn’t one of our Chapter 5 Mythics only located in a specific spot. Players can grab it whenever they’re in Battle Royale.
Is There Any Changes to the Gun?
It’s been quite a while since we saw the Minigun in the Fortnite loot pool. Has there been any changes to how the Minigun works?
For the most part, this gun is exactly how you remember up. The warm-up, the fast fire rate, the ability to shred builds. Cars aren’t a problem considering this minigun is here now too.
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 minigun is exactly how we remember it. It’s particularly fun to introduce something this chaotic into the loot pool of an already well-worn season. In hindsight, it’s looking like the Minigun would have probably dominated the meta if we had it added early earlier. It’s not really a counter for the Magneto powers though.
The Minigun will only be here for the next few days as move towards the end of the season. It’ll be fun to play around with while finishing off the last few quests though.
