If you’re playing Black Myth: Wukong right now (or planning to), you’re going to want to know how to save progress in-game. It’s a very simple process, so follow this guide, and you’ll be good to go.
How to save progress in Black Myth: Wukong?
Unfortunately, there’s no form of manual save in Black Myth: Wukong. This means that if you’re in the middle of an area, you’ll need to finish up before shutting down the game. Instead, the game works entirely on an auto-save system.
Like most Soulslike games, Black Myth: Wukong mostly auto-saves when you reach the Keeper’s Shrines (campsites / bonfires in other Soulslikes). You need to actually use the Keeper’s Shrine and rest for the save to take place. This is definitely the most reliable way to save progress in Black Myth: Wukong. However, it does also auto-save at random checkpoints out of combat – you can see this indicated by a golden thread icon on the top-right of your screen when it’s taking place.
Do you lose progress when you die in Black Myth: Wukong?
You don’t need to worry too much about saved progress when you die in Black Myth: Wukong. You’ll respawn at your most recently used Keeper’s Shrine, and unlike most similar games, you won’t lose any XP either. Think of each death as a learning experience. It’s a pretty lenient system, all things considered.
