Esports and publicly-listed entertainment company NIP Group has announced a partnership with BTG Homeinns, a Chinese hospitality company.

NIP Group x BTG Homeinns – creation of esports-themed hotels

According to a release, the partnership will see the two companies working on the development and operation of esports-themed hotels in China, managing and overseeing the operations for at least the upcoming seven years.

“Yesterday we announced a partnership with one of Asias largest hotel groups, BTG Homeinns Hotel Group, to establish a chain of state-of-the-art gaming and esports hotels that will re-invigorate the hospitality sector with a focus on gaming and esports,” said Hicham Chahine, CEO and founder of NIP Group on a personal post on LinkedIn. “This has been a mega-trend in Asia for a long time, and we are very excited for our expansion into a large and fragmented market with an incredible caliber partner.”

As stated by Chahine, the first flagship hotel will be operated by NIP itself and will be unveiled in the upcoming months in one of “China’s most vibrant cities”. More expansions plans are in the works for upcoming years by utilizing a franchise model.

NIP on the move

After merging with Chinese company ESV5, NIP has been developing an increasing presence in Asia by entering the League of Legends Professional League (LPL). Recertly, the company was listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in the United States. On August 21, the company’s share price closed the day at $8.43 (approx. €7.56).

“For NIP Group, it represents an opportunity to extend its brand into the physical realm of hospitality, offering a unique and immersive experience for esports fans. The partnership will allow NIP Group to reach a broader audience and solidify its position as a leader in the esports industry,” said Mario Ho, Chairman and Co-CEO of the esports organization, who was previously the owner of ESV5.
