Lego Fortnite is one of the game’s biggest expansions. Even compared to the other modes, Lego Fortnite is big. It’s a full game mode, and it frequently gets big updates adding more new content. Is it here to stay in Fortnite though? Is Lego Fortnite permanent? Fortnite does have pretty big features added regularly but often cycles these out every season. Is the Lego mode different?

We’ve already seen quite a few big updates to Lego Fortnite. However, most seasons receive major expansions too just to get removed. This is what we know about the modes’ longevity.

Is Lego Fortnite Permanent?

Lego Fortnite is permanent! The game mode was first added in Chapter 5 Season 1. In the same week as Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival. As this big new collab, with its own style for each of the skins, it’s a bit of a bigger addition to the Fortnite ecosystem than the other modes.

Lego Fortnite is Permanent! The game mode is here to stay. When you create a new world and drop in, you can pretty reasonably assume it’s going to be here for the long run. Even beyond the game sticking around, Lego Fortnite has a more permanent approach to collabs. It’s even part of Fortnite Creative alongside other modes.

Lego Fortnite’s content drops like the last Fortnite Star Wars collab weren’t time-limited content. All the new builds and quests are staying for good. While it’s getting more content gradually, it’s all staying permanently. So, the game is getting bigger and fuller with each update!

Even the cosmetic options have gotten wider over time. More and more skins get Lego styles in updates. That’s set to continue too.

Updates and Continues Support

Not only is Lego Fortnite here to stay, but it’s also getting regular expansions for the foreseeable future. The title was a major part of the leaked Fortnite 2024 roadmap. It seems like continued major content drops are planned for the rest of the Chapter, at a similar rhythm as the drops for new seasons of Fortnite.

The Lego Fortnite update schedule makes it clear the game is going to get a lot bigger. Not only will the game be sticking around, but it’s also permanent. But the title will also continue to expand. One of the early criticisms of the mode was that it was fun, but a bit limited. With each update adding more and more to do though, Lego Fortnite will continue to grow for quite a while to come.
