Rumors, hints, and teases – After months of speculation, Star Wars Outlaws has released and fans are wondering, is Darth Vader really in the game?
Perhaps the most iconic character in all of Star Wars, if the franchise had a mascot, it would have to be Darth Vader. The look, tragic story, the villain arc, everything about Vader is both cool and compelling. But has the helmeted scion of the Dark Side made it into Star Wars Outlaws?
*Beware: Spoilers below*
Is Vader in Star Wars Outlaws?
Darth Vader does make several appearances in Star Wars Outlaws story. While these could be construed as cameos, he actually acts as somewhat of an antagonist. Vader is seen criticizing main villain, Silro Barsha, and even threatening him.
Later in the story, Vader appears talking to Jaylen Vrax and informing them of Silro Barsha’s death, explaining the Barsha had “outlived his purpose.”
Vader never interacts with the player, you can’t fight him (as you’d likely easily lose), and there’s no cheat code to play as Vader. So Vader does make an appearance, but not for ling.
Other Cameos in Star Wars Outlaws
Besides Darth Vader, there’s a number of appearances and cameos by Star Wars favorites in Star Wars Outlaws, including Jabba the Hutt, Lando Calrissian, and a few minor characters besides. Jabba, in fact, plays a pretty significant part in the game, giving you quests and providing some context to the story. Overall, a treat for dedicated Star Wars fans.
