In the midst of a Fortnite Marvel crossover season, we’re getting more and more superhero characters added to the game. There’s plenty in the Battle Pass. But what about the Item Shop? We’re about to get a new character added, a Fortnite Black Cat skin.
The popular anti-hero is the latest from Spider-Man to arrive. We’ve already had Spider-Man himself, and a few variations. Some of his enemies and allies have even shown up too. This is the first time we’ve gotten a proper Fortnite Black Cat skin though! The character has had some lookalike original Fortnite characters, but now players can use the definitive article.

New Fortnite Black Cat Skin
In an upcoming Fortnite Item Shop, we’re going to see the Fortnite Black Cat skin added. According to the leak, it’s a version of the character with a themed pickaxe, backbling, instrument, and wrap. They’ll also have a dedicated version for playing Lego Fortnite games.
This new skin seems to take its biggest inspiration from the comic version of the character. As usual, there are a few Fortnite twists on their design, but the new skin looks like it’s a faithful representation. Fans of the character will likely be pleased with Epic’s take on Black Cat.
When Does it Release?
The Black Cat skin is a new Fortnite collab with Marvel, but when is it coming? It’s supposed to be arriving in the Item Shop tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4th! This skin could take a little extra time, but we’re essentially expecting it to drop imminently.
The skin is likely to cost around 1,500-2,000 V-Bucks as a full bundle. Most collab skins tend to stick at familiar V-Buck prices. While we are in a Marvel season, this is one of quite a few Marvel characters specific to the Item Shop and not the Pass. They’re a solid match for the new Iron Spider-Man skin that was added too.
