Aurora have emerged victorious at the PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 Grand Final, defeating Legacy 3-2 to claim the championship title.
Despite some mid-series mistakes, Aurora finally captured the long-awaited Tier-1 trophy they had been chasing for so long. The Turkish representatives overcame Legacy 3-2 in the Grand Final, putting an end to their championship drought.
This victory not only boosted Aurora’s confidence ahead of the Budapest Major but also reignited the excitement among their fans.
XANTARES Played Like Poetry and Became MVP!
Aurora started strong on their map pick, Dust II, winning the pistol round but struggled midway through the map. Despite back-and-forth rounds, they managed to secure victory with a comeback from 7-2 down, closing out the map 13-11 on CT side. XANTARES was unstoppable with 24 kills, +9.66% swing, and a 1.95 rating.
Moving on to Mirage, Aurora once again began with a 3-0 lead. Although Legacy responded with five consecutive rounds, Aurora kept their composure and finished the first half ahead, maintaining psychological control of the game. With Wicadia’s aggressive entries and XANTARES’s flawless play, Aurora took a commanding 2-0 series lead.
Just when everything seemed over, Aurora faltered, and Legacy capitalized on it. With outstanding performances on Train and disciplined gameplay on Inferno, Legacy tied the series 2-2.
Everything came down to the final map — Nuke. Aurora entered as the favorites, but the reverse sweep attempt from Legacy had shaken their mental state.
Starting on T-side, Aurora closed the first half with a 7-5 lead. Once they switched to CT, Legacy took control, stringing together five straight rounds to even the score. However, critical kills and woxic’s AWP impact helped Aurora regain their footing. From 11-8 down, the Turkish squad rallied with five consecutive rounds, sealing the map 13-11 and securing the championship.
