The Thunderpick WC 2024 SA qualifiers have their finalists – BESTIA and Fluxo have emerged as unlikely winners of their clashes in today’s action. We’re looking at what went down as these two teams faced RED Canids and paiN Gaming respectively.
BESTIA best RED Canids

We certainly didn’t see this coming. On paper, RED Canids should have had BESTIA‘s number all day, but events transpired differently on the server. Instead, BESTIA made short work of the majority-Brazilian roster, getting them out in two barely competitive maps.
While RED Canids’ stars hit hard, BESTIA hit back harder, with players like zock and tomaszin standing up and making themselves be counted. It’s a great achievement that has put them in strong contention to attend a massive LAN later this year.
Fluxo dominate paiN

Looking at these matchups prior to the Thunderpick WC 2024 Semi-Finals, it was clear that Fluxo and paiN were the two best teams left in the bracket. However, we gave paiN the edge thanks to their experience and performance at international LANs of late. So, it was a huge surprise when Fluxo made short work of paiN here, getting them out of qualification contention in two straight maps. While the first went the full 24 rounds, the second was a swift 13:3 that secured Fluxo’s place in the Grand Final.
Once again, Fluxo had arT to thank for carrying them across the finish line here. He’s looked like a man reborn since leaving the comforts of FURIA, and we have to say – it has made him a much better player, seemingly overnight. In this kind of form, it’s difficult to imagine BESTIA having anything to say in tomorrow’s clash.
Going into the Final of the Thunderpick WC 2024 SA Qualifiers, there’s so much on the line. Both teams go into the match hoping to join the list of Thunderpick winners so far, with the main event in October later this year featuring a massive $850,000 prize pool. Who wouldn’t want their name in that hat?
