Fortnite is getting another expansion pretty soon, Fall Guys. It’s something we’ve known about for a while. There have been leaks about it, not to mention a Bean Fall Guy popping up in the Chapter 5 event and multiple teasers since. It’s taken a while to actually arrive, but with the latest patch, it’s getting closer. How to play Fall Guys in Fortnite is a little complicated though. You can’t just select a mode out of discovery.

Players can kind of access some of the Fall Guys Fortnite content. At least if they’re willing to jump through quite a few hoops. It isn’t a port of the full game. It’s more a representation of the type of gameplay this crossover will have once it’s here. However, with the most recent Fortnite patch notes, we can now experience some of Fall Guys in Fortnite through Creative mode.

You might have noticed some of this, as players have been posting bean versions of their favorite Fortnite skins. How can you test them out though?

How to Play Fall Guys in Fortnite

If you want to try out Fall Guys in Fortnite, you’ll have to go through the game’s creative system. We’re expecting a bigger launch for this game mode in August. However, for now, players will have to use the creative tools if they want to test it out.

To do this, players need to start a new island project in UEFN or Creative. You’ll then be able to select the Fall Guys template to start you off. What you’ll see is really just objects to give you an idea of gameplay. Creative islands are where player made content can depart quite heavily from core gameplay, so the Fall Guys template is still just a starting point.

Once in this island, you’re free to explore the very basics of how Fall Guys will work in Fortnite. When it comes in full, players will be able to play the platformer and inspired modes right in the Fortnite browser. Although, as an Epic published mode the main Fall Guys still won’t be eligible for the player created islands quests going on right now. Hopefully with Fall Guys creative tools already out there, creators use them to build something unique once the tools are fully released.
