Every Major League Baseball fan secretly wants a fan cave where they can celebrate their team and watch every game — but it’s just not feasible for everyone. That’s where Minecraft and MLB’s new collaboration comes in. The new MLB Fan Cave allows players to decorate their Minecraft home with jerseys, banners, trophies and more with this official add-on.
The add-on was first revealed May 3 on the official MLB Twitter account. An unlisted YouTube video from Minecraft Marketplace creators Pathway Studios was also discovered.

Minecraft and MLB Team Up to Create Virtual Fan Caves
As shown in the video preview, the add-on pack will feature banners for all 30 MLB teams, new furniture items, baseball-themed decorations and more. These items can be used on any server and add a sporting twist to the location.
We really like the old-school den feeling of these items. There’s something extra cozy about the wooden speakers, fold-out chairs and arcade cabinets. We also spotted a pool table, and we really hope that’s included.

Unfortunately, coming, as with many of these kinds of collaborations, it’s available only for the Minecraft Bedrock Edition. The non-Java edition of the game regularly receives these types of updates, as will be the case with the Vibrant Visuals shaders in the “Chase the Skies” drop, which releases soon.
A solid release date for the MLB Fan Cave pack is not yet available, although we expect a release sometime soon, as a Danish version of the release webpage is live. Attempting to access the page in English, however, leads to an error message.
What we do know is that the add-on will cost 600 Minecoins — Minecraft Bedrock Edition’s in-game currency — which is approximately $3.50.

The new add-on pack is just the latest in a series of in-game collaborations between Mojang’s block game and real-world entities. Minecraft’s marketplace has enabled dozens of mainstream collaborations with brands such as Adidas, Lacoste, Lego and more.
Often, these team-ups are handled by third-party developers such as Pathway Studios, the company behind the MLB collaboration. And as NFL and NBA fans themselves, we can only hope similar packs are on their way for those leagues as well.
