To kick of our 2025 of Dota 2, Valve has surprised players with a brand new treasure called the Charms of the Snake. This unique treasure features nine, brand-new community-made item sets with a roughly snake-themed link.
The snake theme is, of course, to celebrate Lunar New Year, as it’s the Year of the Snake. And while there’s no Personas or Arcanas in this pack, it is a nice themed treasure.
How To Get the Charms of the Snake Dota 2 Treasure Sets

Released on Luna New Year (Jan. 29, 2025), the Charms of the Snake Dota 2 Treasure is purchasable for $2.49. There’s currently no other way to get this treasure, but could conceivable still drop in the Candyworks.

Starting out the Treasure is this slick Shadow Shaman set that’s not too snake-like but we’re just getting started.
Call of the Coral Cultist – Naga Siren

Sea Serpents definitely count as snakes, and we like this Naga Siren set, particularly the rapiers that make her look extra majestic.
Psionic Constrictor – Templar Assassin

Okay, now things are really getting slithery, with the snake heads on the hands. Not quite a feather boa, as much as an full cobra around the Assassin’s neck here.
Obsidian Ophis – Medusa

We’d be upset if there wasn’t a Medusa set in a snake-themed treasure, and Valve delivers with this green set. Now if only the hero was any fun to play against…
Slithering Stone – Earth Spirit

With extra Ambient Effects, and super cool jade snakes, we could definitely slither into this Earth Spirit set.
Madam Mamba – Snapfire

While this Snapfire set make her look like she’s been smoking a little too much of the Devil’s lettuce, it’s the new animations that really sell this fantastic skin.

When the Lich sets lean into the Egyptian aesthetic, it’s always something special, but we especially enjoy the scarab beetle ambient effects. This one also comes with a loading screen.
Serpent’s Spite (Very Rare) – Necrophos

The real sought after set of this treasure is the Serpent’s Spite Necrophos skin that transforms the hero into some kind of snake-cult leader. We love the smaller serpents crawling out of his sleeves and can’t wait to see this slithering down the middle lane in the future!
