COD Mobile x NieR: Automata Collaboration
With the conclusion of the ongoing COD Mobile x Seven Deadly Sins Collab, Season 5 will bring a multi-tier collaboration with NieR: Automata, one of the The 10 Best JRPG Games ever, featuring Legendary blueprints for the AK-47 “NRA” and PP19 Bizon “NRA,” alongside eight Epic melee blueprints-White Oath and Black Oath katanas, White and Black NRA katanas, Angel NRA gloves, C40 NRA knife and spear, and the TFS knife.

New SMG: VMP
Originally from Black Ops III and IV, the VMP submachine gun joins CODM’s armory in Season 5. Its full-auto fire rate, generous magazine size, and slightly sluggish handling make it a high-risk, high-reward pick for players who thrive in close-quarters firefights.

New Sniper Rifle: Mosin-Nagant
Set to debut in Season 6, the classic Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle brings its heft and one-shot lethality to mobile fields. Revered for its stability and massive damage profile, this “3-Line Rifle” will reward marksmen with pinpoint headshots and gratifying one-hit kills.

An “Unknown Mythic Character” asset has been discovered in the Season 5 & 6 test server files, showing a female silhouette brandishing a pistol. The placeholder tag “UT” suggests the final identity is still in flux, though community speculation ties her aesthetic to the gothic “Death Angel Alice” skin line.

Auto-Leaning/Corner Slicing Feature
A new Auto-Leaning mechanic allows Operators to automatically slide their aim around cover without an extra button press, activating when players jog slowly into obstacles. We have talked about this in detail in a separate piece, including how the Auto Lean feature might affect COD Mobile gameplay.
Battle Royale Puddle Reflection Effect
A visually striking update reintroduces realistic puddle reflections in Battle Royale maps, restoring wet road textures that were removed in past seasons. This effect leverages pre-rendered cubic reflection maps to simulate water reflections without overwhelming GPU loads, enhancing immersion for players on capable devices.

BR Returning Equipment: The Serial Bomb
After a lengthy absence, the Serial Bomb is making its comeback in Season 5’s Battle Royale loot pool. This explosive device, known for its timed cluster detonation, will inject fresh tactical options for endgame scenarios-forcing squads to either rush the blast zone or risk being shredded by its multiple charges.
New Vehicle Added to BR: Light Tank
The Light Tank, previously exclusive to Ground War, has rolled onto the Battle Royale battlefield in the test server. Sporting moderate armor and a rapid-fire cannon, this nimble armored vehicle offers mobile cover and firepower, transforming wide-open zones into prime spots for vehicular skirmishes.

New BR Cash System
Season 5 introduces a revamped cash economy: ground spawns now dispense fixed stacks of $1,000 or $500. This streamlined distribution ensures players can reliably amass funds for mid-game airdrops and Buy Station purchases, smoothing out the loot variance that once plagued tighter matches.
New Equipment in BR: Thermite and C4
Battle Royale now features Thermite alongside the long-awaited return of C4 explosives. Thermite’s area-denial flames complement C4’s pinpoint destruction, giving survivors diverse breaching and zone-control tools as they jockey for position in the shrinking circle.

New Legendary Combat Axe
A mysterious Legendary Combat Axe has surfaced in the test server files. With a sleek, rune-etched blade and custom kill-streak animation, this melee weapon promises both brutal efficiency and collectible prestige for players hunting high-tier cosmetics.
Diamond Camo for All Attachments
Diamond Camo finally isn’t just for the gun’s main body anymore-Season 5 lets you drape it over every single attachment. Yep, scopes, barrels, grips-they all sparkle in full bling glory alongside your weapon, making it the kind of kit that collectors and completionists will drool over.

New Animation Showcase
On the animation side, the developers went back to the drawing board and polished up pretty much every movement: aiming down sights, sprinting, walking, even sliding feels smoother now. You’ll notice those transitions are tighter, giving you a more immersive “I’m actually in the action” kind of vibe akin to Warzone Mobile.

And speaking of animations, the XM4 gets the brand-new equipping sequence first. You’ll see detailed hand placements, that satisfying bolt-pull, all of it. Don’t worry if you’re not an XM4 fan-other guns and blueprints are queued up to get the same treatment, so every loadout’s gonna have its own distinct flair when you pull it out in-game. On that note, here goes some of the best loadout you can try in COD Mobile in this meta.
