T1 locks in Doran for its 2025 roster

Fans won’t be able to see ZOFGK heading into 2025. The world-winning lineup will only have four of its components in the new season, as Zeus has officially parted ways with T1.

In his stead, T1 has brought in Doran, former top laner for Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G, two of T1’s biggest rival teams in the LCK. The 24-year-old comes as a surprise for many, considering some were expecting Zeus to stick with the team after winning back-to-back titles.

Doran will have a lot of pressure on him in the new season

According to T1, the top laner has signed a one-year deal, which is shorter than the other three players that previously re-signed with the organization. Keria was the first to re-sign, followed by Oner, and Gumayusi.

While it’s still unclear where Zeus will be heading, the one thing for sure is that Doran will have big shoes to fill, as his predecessor was known for his laning prowess and carry potential.

The 24-year-old has rarely shown the same level of individual power, as Doran has always been regarded as a solid player who can handle his own most of the time.

It’s only one piece replaced but Doran’s addition will likely shift the way T1 plays the game. The new season as well as the show match Red Bull League of Its Own will tell us more about the team’s potential.

Aside from Zeus, T1 also parted ways with Rekkles, who will be joining Caedrel’s team Los Ratones in the upcoming season. Coach GBM has also parted ways with the organization while coach Roach left to serve his mandatory military service.

With the T1 roster locked in and the transfer window open, we should expect more teams to finalize their lineup in the upcoming days. Stay tuned for more news about the LCK and other major LoL leagues.
