In many RPG games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, romance is an option. Since these games are predicated largely on choice, it can be your choice to get romantically involved with another character. Games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Stardew Valley, and more have deep romance options and storylines to pursue. Even though Dragon Age: The Veilguard only came out yesterday, players are wondering whether or not they can get started on a potential partnership. Here’s everything you need to know about who and how to romance in this game.

Does Dragon Age: The Veilguard Have Romance?

Dragon Age: The Veilguard does have romance. Players can choose an NPC to get romantically involved with. There are two primary ways to go about this. First, you have to select who you’re interested in and then choose side quests that pertain to them and their backstories. When talking with them, there are flirty dialogue options. Choosing those will put you on the path to a committed relationship. This functions very similar to the last game from this franchise, Inquisition.

Who Can be Romanced?

The following characters in Dragon Age: The Veilguard can be romanced:

  • Lace Harding
  • Neve Gallus
  • Bellara Lutare
  • Lucanis Dellamorte
  • Davrin
  • Emmerich Volkarin
  • Taash

Giving these characters the right gifts will go a long way in boosting their feelings for you. There are no restrictions on the romancing in Dragon Age at this time. You can get with anyone regardless of race, gender, class, or anything else. Everyone is open to everything. Be forewarned, though, certain characters being romanced can lead to sex scenes later on in the game, which may be NSFW. There are mages and warriors available, so choose wisely.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard and all the romance NPCs are available now on all platforms. It is not on Game Pass, however, so if you want to date Bellara or Emmerich, you’re going to have to purchase the game yourself.
