On a day that saw Vitality extend their legendary win streak to 23, the action continued in Copenhagen as the second day of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 kicked off on the server. With four more games to speak of, there’s plenty to discuss – let’s take a look at how the action went down!

Wildcard send paiN Gaming packing

It was a short trip to Copenhagen for paiN Gaming, who were sent packing from BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 by Wildcard in a match that, like the rest of this event so far, was unfortunately a lopsided affair. The NA team even came within one round of 13:0’ing the Brazilians on map two, although they just fell short in the end.

This unfortunately felt like two teams going through the motions to get to an inevitable result, but it didn’t have to be this way. This was paiN Gaming’s first event with dgt on the lineup, and on paper, they can absolutely go toe to toe with Wildcard. It certainly shouldn’t have been this easy, but regardless, it’s Wildcard who goes through to the Quarter-Finals.

FaZe squeeze past FlyQuest in deceptively close 2:0

2:0 might have been the final scoreline, but there was nothing comfortable after FaZe Clan squeezed past FlyQuest to reach the Playoffs of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. With the first map finishing 13:11, FlyQuest went into map two of Nuke full of hope, and had to pull back a 12:8 deficit to take it to Overtime. The individual quality pulled through for FaZe, though, as they pulled through in triple Overtime.

Despite a Playoffs berth, it won’t be the huge confidence boost FaZe were hoping to get out of this match. FlyQuest are a team with an extensive list of problems of their own, and FaZe will have been hoping to destroy them to get back on the right path. I’m not sure FaZe will get much further in BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, but let’s wait and see how they do in their Quarter-Final.

Falcons make Semis over Spirit

It was a hard-fought duel that went all the way to Overtime in the map-three decider, but Falcons were able to lock down their spot in the Semi-Finals by taking down Team Spirit 2:1. It was a matchup that showed the level of this Falcons team – their recent runs are no fluke, and the IEM Melbourne 2025 Finalists are truly here to stay.

For once, it felt like NiKo didn’t completely get the better of donk in this match, but regardless, the Bosnian rifler was in fine form as he fired his team to victory. Even with kyxsan and TeSeS both struggling, he had more than enough in his locker to ensure Falcons got the win over Spirit.

What about Vitality?
