Additionally, as ever, certain items available during previous iterations of the event can be purchased via Moonfire Faire vendors.

About the Moonfire Faire

The Moonfire Faire is an annual event that’s run every single year of FFXIV’s existence. Usually involving defending the sunny shores of Costa Del Sol from exploding Bomb mobs, the event also often features jumping puzzles, swimsuits, and other summer fun.

This year’s event, hot on the heels of the 7.05 patch, has taken on the theme of a traditional Japanese summer festival. These festivals are often punctuated by shouts of “Wasshoi!” With one existing Wasshoi emote already in the game, this year’s event looks to add a kind of super Wasshoi, for when the regular shout isn’t enough.

The Moonfire Faire arrives in FFXIV on August 8. Keep track of all the upcoming patches and events in FFXIV using our handy calendar!
