FISSURE Universe Episode 3 is a relatively small tournament in the grand scheme of Dota 2 Esports, yet it is packed with many powerhouse teams. As such, it’s an interesting set of power rankings to consider, as many of the same teams are also competing in the upcoming International 2024 (TI13) too.

5. Team Spirit

Kicking off the power rankings is Team Spirit, the two-time TI Champions. This may come off as a controversially low pick for a team of such calibre, but Team Spirit’s recent performance just isn’t something to brag about.

From losing to Xtreme Gaming at Clavision: Snow Ruyi to placing eighth at Riyadh Masters 2024. It just seems like Spirit is inconsistent when it comes to delivering the expectations expected of a champion.

Nevertheless, its inconsistency is also the reason why Spirit is such an unpredictable force in Fissure Universe Episode 3. Such that, it wouldn’t be shocking if Spirit somehow sweep the tournament against the likes of other rivals.

4. Tundra Esports

Tundra Esports is a rising star, coming into Fissure Universe Episode 3 and TI13. Tundra hasn’t had the best start in the season, but recent performance has put Tundra in the spotlight as a candidate to keep an eye out for.

After all, Tundra’s line-up is nothing to scoff at, especially since it features world-class names. From having Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and the notorious Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko. Tundra has no shortage of prominent Dota 2 players.

3. BetBoom Team

Considered one of the Big Three of season 2024, BetBoom Team hails as a stronger representative from Eastern Europe than its more accomplished rival, Spirit.

Placing second on the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) Leaderboard, second only to Team Falcons, BetBoom is definitely one of the favorites on the Fissure Universe: Episode 3 power rankings.

We expect nothing less from a team led by a former TI Champion, Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek. But to give credit where it’s due, the rest of the line-up contributed to the success of BetBoom this season.

2. Gaimin Gladiators

The Riyadh Masters 2024 Champions needs no introduction going into Fissure Universe Episode 3. Despite that, Gaimin hasn’t always been at the top of the scoreboard and is often overshadowed by other teams’ success.

At one point, Gaimin looked so ill-prepared for any major tournament, that fans are anticipating an upcoming roster change soon. For the uninitiated, Gaimin’s line-up sticked together for their second year’s tenure after winning first runner-up at TI12. After all, why wouldn’t they? They accomplished so much last year despite being a relatively new powerhouse to debut in Dota 2 Esports.

Nevertheless, Gaimin’s recent success is a testament to the team’s perseverance through the ups and downs they encountered thus far. And it’s putting them at a comfortable position to win Fissure Universe: Episode 3.

1. Team Falcons

Speaking of this year’s new powerhouses, Team Falcons deserves that recognition over any other team. Hailing from the MENA region, Falcons brought together prodigies across various region to build their dream team.

Having won most major tournaments in 2024, including BetBoom Dacha Dubai, DreamLeague S22 and S23, and ESL One Birmingham 2024, Team Falcons’ rise to success puts them among the strongest Dota 2 teams going into Fissure Universe: Episode 3 and TI13. They are definitely a TI13 Champions candidate, so this tournament will give us a good glimpse of Team Falcons’ capabilities and preparation.
