Eastern European organization AVULUS has announced the signing of Fabian “Mo13ei” Knehr, Athanasios “dEsire” Kartsabas, and Tal “Fly” Aizik to their Dota 2 roster. AVALUS, who has had its fair share of interesting results has struggled to prove itself in the Tier 1 scene. Now, with significant roster changes – the addition of Fly, dEsire, and Mo13e – the team looks to go from perennial loser to powerhouse.

The move was announced on April 28 via AVULUS’ social media, revealing the trio as the organization’s latest signings.

AVULUS adds Fly, d3sire and Mo13e

It has been a while since we have seen a big roster change in the Eastern European region. Teams like PARIVISION and Team Spirit continue to dominate this part of the world, but it seems like AVULUS wants to join the show. After a series of disappointing results, the squad made the much-needed roster change adding three major players – including storied Dota 2 veteran, Fly.

This means that AVULUS’s current Dota 2 roster looks like this:

  • Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau
  • Fabian “Mo13ei” Knehr
  • Andreas “Xibbe” Ragnemalm
  • Athanasios “dEsire” Kartsabas
  • Tal “Fly” Aizik

The new roster definitely seems a lot more interesting than before because it has many players with tons of experience. Fly, dEsire and Xibbe have been around the scene for ages, and hopefully  their experience will help the team achieve better results.

Dota 2 fans are particularly interested in Fly’s return. It has been a while since the star played for a Tier 1 team. After leaving Shopify Rebellion in late 2023 and joining Nouns, Fly has been off the radar for the past few months since his latter team’s departure from Dota 2.

What’s Next for AVULUS?

Judging by the tweet, AVULUS will try to prepare for all of the upcoming Dota 2 tournaments. Speaking of the devil, BLAST SLAM 3 starts in just a week from now, so don’t forget to learn more about it. This event will also offer Dota 2 betting fans a lot of opportunities, so those interested should check what’s available.

As for AVULUS, it will be interesting to see what will happen with the team in the future – will they become a major player in the scene like Spirit and PARIVISION? Or remain as middle-of-the-pack organization?
