The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 loot pool has just been given a major update. Every week, there’s usually at least a minor patch to keep the game fresh and to patch any issues. It’s also used frequently to balance the competition, so if there’s an overpowered weapon, it might get nerfed. If one is too weak, it will get a buffed. This week, several changes were announced to the existing loot pool, including the unvaulting of some new items. Here’s what has changed.

Fortnite Loot Pool for Chapter 6 Season 2 Gets Update

Three new items have returned to the Fortnite loot pool for Chapter 6 Season 2. The Scoped Burst Assault Rifle, Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, and TwinMag Assault Rifle have all been added to the game in the latest patch. If you were worried because you recall the Infiltrator Pump being weak, rest assured that it’s also been buffed.

The damage has increased (in order by rarity from Common to Legendary but not Mythic or Exotic) from 77/80/85/89/93 to 91/95/101/106/111. Now, the common Infiltrator Pump Shotgun does almost as much damage as the old Legendary Infiltrator did.

The max damage, additionally, has been buffed. Once again in rarity order, the maximum damage has jumped from 115/120/125/130/135 to 155/160/165/170/175. It can now deal a lot of damage with the right shot.

Unfortunately, the TwinMag Assault Rifle has been nerfed. It now deals three less damage per shot, which isn’t a huge difference, but Epic Games felt it was a little unbalanced, so they decided to take it down a notch.

There should be a small patch waiting for you when you try to get into Fortnite. It shouldn’t take a lot of time, but it will correct some of the issues with the loot pool. Particularly, it adds three popular weapons to the already-expansive loot pool from Chapter 6 Season 2. Be sure to update and check out these incredible new additions. These changes are for the main Battle Royale mode. They do not apply to OG or Reload.
