In recent months, we’ve seen the always present Fortnite Disney connection get quite a bit stronger. With Disney taking a direct stake in Epic, we’ve been expecting more and more crossover content. That’s been skins and event passes. However, at this weekend’s D23 event we might get an announcement of an even closer collaboration.
D23 is a big event for fans of Disney franchises. It’s where they announce all their plans for the year ahead, with movies TV shows. Plus, now in Fortnite too. The weekend’s event will be live-streamed within Fortnite. Players can catch all of the announcements, but they can also collect a fun back bling for free. It’s scheduled to take place a little after the next Fortnite Live event time. What’s happening and what can we expect to get announced?

Is a Fortnite Disney Announcement Coming?
This week, Epic has announced a special livestream is going ahead for a Fortnite Disney announcement. It’s going to take place after the live event, although it’ll be a busy day for Fortnite fans. At 10:30 PM ET on August 10th. This livestream will broadcast D23’s presentation to everyone in Fortnite! However, you need to go to the right mode.
To attend the livestream, you’ll need to head to a special island in Fortnite Creative. When there, you can catch the official live stream. The map code you’ll need is 7908-6413-2516. You can probably spot this around the discovery sections anyway. It’s a pretty big event so Epic will likely be pushing it.
If you attend the island, you’ll be able to collect a special item. It’s a Peelverine Plush back bling. It’s a pretty fun item with a Peely wrapped up in a Wolverine outfit. This could even be a tease for a future Battle Pass skin when more Fortnite X-Men skins arrive! Visiting the map will also award some XP.
What’s Getting Announced at D23?
A special Fortnite broadcast is being made from D23. What’s being announced in terms of Fortnite content though? It’s difficult to say, but we’re expecting the next season to really tie into this partnership. It’s going to be a new Marvel season focusing on the X-Men and Fantastic Four.
We could see an early reveal of some of the content we’re getting next season! Although, there’s no way to know for certain until the broadcast takes place.
