The item shop gets new items all the time, but there’s a special one coming, an exclusive OG style for a Fortnite emote. Fortnite has thousands of emotes now but there are quite a few which can’t come back. From Battle Pass emotes, to emotes that were added as a limited time thing. Because of a link to the story or just a timed event. This week they broke one of those timed promises.

After saying an emote would only be available for a limited time, Epic has brought it back to the shop. The emote in question is Go Home. A fairly standard action, a player holds up a protest sign. With one of the factions from earlier Fortnite lore on it. This was supposed to be timed, but it’s been brought back early by mistake. Like the last few times that this happened, Epic has decided to bring in a new version of the emote, but they’ll also be honoring more recent purchases.

New Exclusive OG Style for Fortnite Emote Announced

This weekend, we saw Go Home back in rotation after over 2,000 days. It was missing for so long since players originally got this to tie into a limited time event in the game. Now it has come back, their previous commitment to keep that for original players has been broken. The emote was removed from the shop, but Epic will be allowing those who purchased it in between to keep it.

Players have had their V-Bucks refunded. However, those who originally had the emote are getting something extra. Just like we saw when Renegade Raider returned, or even earlier for Ghoul Trooper, players get an exclusive OG style. Now, an OG style for an emote seems a bit extreme.

What exactly is it going to be? It could be a slightly different animation. The emote in question does lend itself to just having something different on the sign though. While it’s nice older players are getting something, the exclusive OG styles are getting a bit abstract pus now we’re getting them for skins fairly often and even emotes.
