Fortnite Reload is going to look very different here in the near future. The hit game mode has become a staple of playlists since its inception despite the arrival of a legitimate OG mode. The respawning feature and the smaller map have drawn loads of players to it. Here’s what to expect in the next update to the mode.

Fortnite Reload Changes Ahead
First and foremost, as is the case often, Fortnite Reload is getting a new map. According to leaker HYPEX, a new map is coming this month. On April 15, there will be an entirely new island for players to land on. As has been the case in the past, it will be a sort of amalgamation of old Battle Royale locations with new angles and combinations. A lighthouse, a factory, and forested areas will both be familiar locations and parts of a brand-new map in just a few days.
Perhaps a much bigger change is that Reload mode is getting vehicles. For the duration of this mode’s life, movement has been restricted to mostly mobility items like Shockwave Grenades. Now, vehicles are poised to land on the remixed island. Cars and other driveable items will finally be available like they are in Battle Royale. The map is small, but now you’ll be able to boost around it in no time.
Of course, there will also be new weapons. Reload always brings in new loot pools every so often. This game mode is one way that vaulted weapons and items stay relevant. In the past, items like the Double Pump Shotgun, Classic SCAR, and more have been featured in Reload despite not being in Battle Royale for a very long time. When April 15 arrives, expect some new old weapons to come back.
