Fortnitemares is one of our most anticipated upcoming updates, with new trailers promising one of our biggest changes outside of seasonal updates. However, after an update delay, it seems it’s been pushed back. Epic has just announced a Fortnitemares delay. Anyone hoping to jump into the Halloween content will have a little longer to wait.
Why has Fortnitemares been delayed? We don’t have a clear reason, but there are some explanations based on what’s been behind similar past delays. The pushback isn’t moving us over to next week either, we’re still expecting to jump into all the Fortnitemares 2024 content before the end of the week.
Fortnitemares Delay Announced
Fortnitemares has been delayed. Rather than starting this morning as originally planned, it’ll now begin on Saturday!
This moves the Fortnitemares 2024 release to a pretty rare thing in Fortnite. We don’t get a lot of Fortnite updates at the weekend. Although, a similar one-day delay moved the launch of Chapter 5 Season 2 to the weekend too. While we have had a Fortnitemares delay, it should only cut a day or so out of the event. Still plenty of time to play through everything before the season ends. The delay hasn’t been explained entirely. Although, we can assume there was a problem with the content that needed a bit more time.
The Fortnitemares delay will be frustrating for anyone hoping to get in sooner. Although, Epic has given out a new trailer to put players on. By the looks of it, this will be one of our biggest mid-season updates in quite a long time. It seems we’re getting more changes to the map, loot pool, and skins than we’ve sometimes gotten for new seasons.
For a game that’s updated this regularly, delays sometimes happen. With this content announced though it looks like Fortnitemares 2024 will be worth the delay. We’ve just got a little longer to wait before getting in! Then we can explore everything the new update to offer.
