If you have a PC, there are a few things to keep in mind for Frostpunk 2:
Your PC needs a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
The processor should be AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz
Needs at least 8 GB RAM
The AMD RX 550 4 GB VRAM, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti 4 GB VRAM, or INTEL ARC A310 4GB VRAM are needed for graphics
DirectX should be Version 12
30 GB should be available for storage space
For Mac OS, the specifications change:
Must have an Apple processor
OS: macOS 14.5
Processor should be Apple M1
8 GB RAM is necessary
Graphics card should be Apple M1
30 GB space
You will also need a SSD for both. Those are the minimum system requirements, but that won’t necessarily have the game running at its peak.
Optimal Performance
If you’d like to reach higher heights with this highly-anticipated game, try this:

On Mac, the optimal system requirements differ a bit:
Needs an Apple processor
OS: Latest macOS
Processor should be the Apple M1 Pro or better
Needs 16 GB RAM
Graphics card should be Apple M1 Pro or better
Once again, you will need 30 GB of space available. Many PCs do not have these system requirements, but the game will run just fine as long as you have the first list checked off. If not, you will not be able to play and may need to seek the game out on Xbox, PlayStation, or another platform.
