Eggcellent news for Final Fantasy XIV players as the games Easter-themed seasonal event, Hatching-tide, arrives in FFXIV next week.
As per an announcement on official FFXIV social media channels and accompanying blog posts, Hatching-tide 2025 will take place between Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 24, bringing Easter charm to Eorzea while the event lasts. Here’s the details.

FFXIV Hatching-tide 2025 Details – Final Fantasy 14’s Easter Event Returns
As mentioned, the event will run for two weeks from April 9 until April 24. To start the event, head to Old Gridania, and speak to Jihli Aliapoh (X: 10.2, Y: 9.4) in Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre. It’s a level 15 quest, so available to almost all players.
This year, players taking part in the Hatching-tide 2025 event will receive a Archon Egg Parasol fashion accessory, a charming umbrella to shelter you from the sun and rain. Additionally, as ever, certain items available during previous iterations of the event can be obtained via the Dreamer, an NPC located near Jihli Aliapoh and Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre.

Hatching-tide is FFXIV’s Easter event, filling the game eggs, cute yellow chicks, and the spirit of Spring and rebirth. The event has run almost every year since the games release, just skipping 2013. In 2024, Hatching-tide had a joint event with Little Ladies’ Day, but has once again had its own event this year.
However, with a sparse event page, a single item, and really nothing of note promised with this event quest, players are worried that FFXIV devs, Square Enix, are toning down their calendar of events and the features within them. Keen eyed players would notice, though, that we’re just days off a major patch release, and a slight decrease in content is only to be expected.
