VALORANT Episode 9 Act 3 is right around the corner, and it will mark the addition of a new map. The twist, however, is the new Act will bring a Team Deathmatch map known as Glitch instead of one for the competitive mode. As a result, casual players can hop into the new environment to showcase their aiming skills. So, without any further delay, here’s everything you need to know about the new map in VALORANT called Glitch.

The Glitch map is perhaps the most exciting part of Patch 9.08, specifically designed for 5v5 Team Deathmatch (TDM). Set in a glitched-out Max Bot Arena, Glitch brings a fresh, chaotic environment for duels.

If you aren’t familiar with Max Bots, they are robots created by Killjoy and Raze for sparring, which was featured in the 2022 cinematic.

This new map continues Riot’s commitment to creating casual play options for players, expanding the TDM map pool and ensuring the game remains fun outside of the often-intense competitive environment.

At first look, the entire map looks like a combination of the Haven, Pearl and the Sunset map. Also, unlike other TDM maps, Glitch has very tight spots which is why you will more likely find players holding certain angels instead of sprinting around the map.

The key features of the map are three-lane strictures and huge wall obstacles which make it challenging for players to navigate. In short, the map encourages tactical gameplay and requires careful coordination to outmaneuver opponents.

As is tradition, you’ll be given approximately 10 minutes to score 100 kills. The team that secures this objective first will be the winner of the Glitch map. Thankfully, the rewards will be the same for everyone: 1000 XP, whether you’re on the winning team or the losing team.

As mentioned earlier, Glitch arrives in VALORANT as a part of Episode 9 Act 3 update which is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2024.
