The boss fights are proving to be a big part of Black Myth: Wukong’s wide appeal. Game Science’s action RPG is already a massive hit, but challenging bosses like the Black Wind King are keeping players glued to their screens as they attempt to overcome Black Myth: Wukong’s huge challenges. If you’re struggling with this boss fight, we’ve got some advice below that could help you win.
Where to find Black Wind King in Black Myth: Wukong
As long as you continue progressing through Black Myth: Wukong’s story, you will encounter Black Wind King. You’ll find him inside Black Wind Cave, as you hurtle towards the conclusion of Chapter 1. Make sure you interact with the Cave Interior Keeper’s Shrine here, as it’ll give you a good place to respawn when you inevitably die during this challenging boss fight.
Best ways to beat Black Wind King in Black Myth: Wukong
Beating Black Wind King is partly about the preparation. You should consider taking down Elder Jinchi before this boss so that you can access the Fireproof Mantle. This is a great Vessel that, when active, provides a passive increase in Focus Points. As the fight drags on, this will allow you to get more heavy hits on the boss.
As for strategy, your main goal here is to dodge Black Wind King’s Black Wind Form attack. He will transform himself into a mist, before rushing towards you. He will always try a second attack after this, as well as a possible third and fourth, so you need to stay alert and dodge these attacks. Once these are done, it’s time to land a few hits on Black Wind King.
After you’ve brought Black Wind King down to half health, you can really start to do some damage. You will have an item called the Grey Wolf Mask, obtained by beating Lingxuzi earlier in the game. This provides a buff to dealt damage to enemies below half health – a powerful tool in any boss fight. Ideally, save your Focus Points and Tranformations for this point in the fight, as you can really deal some huge damage to Black Wind King.
