If you’ve played a match of Fortnite in Chapter 6, you’ve undoubtedly seen or experienced Shogun’s Arena firsthand. Shogun is one of the bosses on the island in Chapter 6, but he does not have a static location like many others. He’s also nowhere specific to be found at first, which makes it difficult not only to find but also to defeat him. Here’s what you need to know about the Fortnite Chapter 6 boss.

Everything on Shogun’s Arena in Fortnite Chapter 6
Shogun’s Arena is a mid-game objective, which means it doesn’t spawn until roughly the halfway point of any Fortnite game. It is a set of islands that spawn just like the loot island that used to. The arena spawns randomly above somewhere on the Chapter 6 island.
It spawns the exact same way the loot island did. There will be an indicator of the location prior to the actual spawning so that players have the chance to make their way to it. Then, it spawns high up in the air. There are sprites that will boost you into the air so you can fly up to the islands. There are windstorms up there, so you’re always free to jump off and fly to safety.
Shogun X is the boss that you have to fight. Be warned, he’s one of the most challenging boss fights in Fortnite history. He is somewhere on the island before the arena spawns, but he will be at the arena when it arrives.
Defeating Shogun drops a boon and an enhanced weapon. You can get the enhanced version of the Fury Assault Rifle, Sentinel Pump Shotgun, Twinfire Auto Shotgun, Oni Shotgun, or Surgefire SMG. Shogun wields a Typhoon Blade, but he doesn’t drop it once he’s defeated.
The boss has several abilities: Crimson Void Warp, Explosive Screaming Masks, Molten Eruptions, and Demonrush. These are all very powerful and make life difficult for anyone facing him, so keep that in mind if you’re angling to take him down. Shogun is also an Item Shop skin like Etheria.
