When it comes to Fortnite collabs, there’s two franchises which are way over-represented compared to everything else. There’s Marvel, about to get another season of its own, and there’s Star Wars. Usually, a few times a year we get Star Wars events. However, we also get skins in between showing up in the Item Shop. This year there’s a few new ones, including a Moff Gideon Fortnite skin.
When it comes to Star Wars Fortnite skins, we’ve already had most of the big hitters. The game has the complete cast of the original trilogy, it’s getting pretty full in its prequels characters too. What’s left to mine? At the recent Fortnite D23 announcements we got a handful more announced, specifically hailing from the world of the Mandalorian. A streaming series and one of the more popular Disney attempts at making Star Wars.
We’ve already had the Mandalorian himself show up in Fortnite, along with a back bling of Baby Yoda. However, we’ve got two more skins along with a new version of the baby character, now with a name! (And a less intrusive model in-game) How can you get the new Star Wars skins and what’s special about the Moff Gideon Fortnite skin?
Moff Gideon Fortnite Skin Added
In the most recent update to Fortnite, a few new Star Wars characters have been added. One is a Bounty Hunting robot, from the Mandalorian. Another is the villain of the show, the Moff Gideon Fortnite skin.
This skin features him both masked and unmasked. While plenty of people are excited for the Star Wars character himself, many are just overall excited for the Giancarlo Esposito skin! He’s played quite a few iconic characters, perhaps most memorably in Breaking Bad as a villain which set the mold for a lot of successive roles.

The mask off version of the skin is a fun inclusion for the character and it makes it quite a bit more interesting than if this was just another storm trooper armor variation skin. Definitely enough to hold fans off until Fortnite gets a crossover with the Boys or Better Call Saul.
How Can You Get the New Skin?
The new Moff Gideon skin was only announced at the weekend, along with the other Marvel and Fortnite. However, this has been released pretty quickly! The Moff Gideon Fortnite skin isn’t available through the Battle Pass, or event pass, or anything like that though.
Instead, you have to get the new skin through the Item Shop! Hop into the store and redeem your V-Bucks for the skin if you want to pick them up.
