Yesterday’s Fortnite Item Shop rotation was a quality one for fans of rare skins, as Bruno Mars and Jawbreaker came back. Whenever a skin enters the Item Shop, it will eventually leave. Nothing stays there permanently, even if it feels like it does (like the Weeknd skin in Chapter 5 Season 1, for example). When they leave, there’s no guarantee they’ll be back.
Given that the skins aren’t exclusive for the most part, it’s unlikely that they’re gone forever, but some endure significant absences. Bruno Mars was a great example. The wait is officially over, though.
Fortnite Bruno Mars and Jawbreak Returns to Item Shop
The Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak skins were introduced as part of the Silk Sonic set. The two musical artists got Icon Series skins and cosmetics in February 2022. They were in the Item Shop several times that year, including in October, but never again. They’d been out of the shop since October 12, 2022. That was until last night. The Item Shop rotation brought them back, and players could buy the singers again.
The skin alone cost 1,800 V-Bucks, but the Silk Sonic set will run you 2,700 V-Bucks. It has several styles and of course, matching cosmetics. Now, players don’t have to wait to get it. Those who had it already may be upset about the lost rarity, but given how popular this skin is, Epic Games was always going to bring it back to the shop at some point. Now they have, and when it leaves, the countdown will begin once more.
The same, although on a much lesser scale, is true for Jawbreaker. The Fortnite skin is a very old one, as its first shop appearance was over 1,700 days ago. It has been in and out of the shop since and was last seen 157 days ago. Nevertheless, a popular and somewhat rare old skin has returned, which usually prompts Fortnite players to spend their V-Bucks on it.
Since these skins just dropped again, expect them to remain in the shop for a while but not forever.
