Fortnite’s about to get another big crossover, Kings League X Fortnite. This is going to be a crossover between Fortnite and the Kings World Cup in Paris 2025. It’s another occasion where a real-life sports event is doing an offering in Fortnite. This new collab has been announced by the league, and it’s offering a chance for someone to be immortalized in Fortnite!
The Fortnite Collabs can be quite varied. There are crossovers that are just skins or items, but others go a bit further. The Kings League is going to create a brand new emote. But it won’t be a basic design just using the imagery of the collab. Instead, it’ll be a goal celebration! The very best will be picked out and used as a new emote in game. Kings League X Fortnite Will Add a New Emote
The Kings League is a bit of an alternative take on football. It’s a 7-v-7 version of the game that has been running since 2022, its hosting a World Cup over June in Paris. There will be 32 different clubs taking part in a huge international event. The Kings League obviously isn’t as well-known as normal 11-a-side football, so they do features like the Kings League X Fortnite collab to try and encourage a wider audience for the sport.
The Kings League event will ask fans to highlight their favorite goal celebrations on social media. The most popular at the end of the event will be added to the game as a proper emote! Some of the best Fortnite emotes like Get Griddy are used in celebrations in other sports, so there’s strong form for this new Kings League crossover.
The Kings League X Fortnite collab should see its new emote announced at the finale of the World Cup! There isn’t any other feature in game at the moment. We aren’t expecting specialist Fortnite Icon Skins for the teams, but an emote will be a good way to memorialize the biggest moments of the World Cup.
