Since the relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile India in 2023, Krafton hasn’t stopped from pushing the game to the moon. This is crucial for the Indian division of the company who are currently in charge of BGMI and Bullet Echo India. Recently, Krafton India announced their collaboration with the Paralympic Committee of India for the upcoming Paris Paralympics. In this article, let’s understand this one-of-a-kind partnership.

This year, we have seen Krafton India announce partnerships with various organizations and personalities within India. First, it was with the famous Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for their Play Pure event. Following this, they partnered with the Famous Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya to include his voice pack in the game. In April 2024, Krafton India announced their partnership with Mumbai Indians. Just before their official tournament, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS 2024), they announced a partnership with the movie franchise Kalki 2898.
While these partnerships have been majorly for in-game events, Krafton’s collaboration with the Indian Paralympic Committee is quite different. In a press release, Krafton India announced they will sponsor the training kits, other equipment, and more as the various athletes prepare for the Paris Paralympics. This isn’t the first time we have seen Krafton forge a partnership with athletes in traditional sports.
During BGIS 2024, the company announced it would donate around 25 lakh rupees ($29,860.55) to the Abhinav Bindra Foundation. Abhinav Bindra was the first Indian athlete to win the Gold medal in the Olympics. We have seen other publishers in the gaming industry donate some sum of money to various causes. The Riot Games Social Impact Fund is a similar fund that provides support to over 450 NGOs. The difference here is that they launch a run-it-back bundle, from which a majority of proceeds go into the social fund.
